Arts and Warcrafts: A reflection piece on Learning in World of Warcraft
Welcome to my World of Warcraft blog! I'm writing it for a class at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. We are examining the role of technology and media in learning and engagement, and I am particularly interested in studying World of Warcraft and MMORPGs.

I'm leaving a comment. Totally anonymously. But I'm going to keep it relevant and clean because this is an academic blog.

haha, very good. now i will definitely be posting!
Hi Ms. Cohen!
It's Becky F. I had you for Pre-AP English in the 2006-2007 school year. I think you should post with what server/faction you play on and put your character's name too. I play on Aegwynn on the Horde side.
If you're looking into WoW culture, probably the best place to start is the Barrens chat. It's a low-level area that has the most ridiculous /1 chat. Most of the Chuck Norris jokes were born in Barrens chat.

That's probably the best definition I could find.
Another good site is Thottbot. It tells you every quest/item/mob (monster). I also appreciate that it tells you all the statistics like drop rate and spawn rate etc. If you play long enough you end up wanting the damage per second calculators and stuff.

I also had to throw in Leeroy Jenkins. For good measure (although you've probably already seen it).

Hope I helped,

(I added you on Facebook if you don't remember me.)
Becky,
Of course I remember you! You are a great, unique student and it would be hard to forget you. Plus, it Was just last year...
I hope you are having a wonderful year and keeping up your fine writing! (You can see I am violating my no exclamation mark rule here--it's a more informal context. Sorry, I never stop being a teacher.)
Thank you for the great suggestions-- I am posting them to various places on the blog now as I check them out. I will DEFINITELY post my server and faction and my character's info-- I'm actually in the process of figuring all of that out right now. I'll do a post asking for suggestions.
Ms. C
Aww, thanks! :P (I will also violate the no exclamation mark rule, because we are rebels like that).
I actually write a health column for Today's Teen now. I'm working on an article about my friend Matt who lost over seventy pounds. I also get to call up doctors and ask them questions for my articles which is pretty awesome. I got Sex Sleep Eat Drink Dream by Jennifer Ackerman for free from her publisher too.

If you play on my server and faction I will definitely add you.
You should see if you can get on a server and side with a friend because then you can quest/instance together (you could also ask for gold or trade items, haha).
